Terms & Conditions of Service
General Terms and Conditions
The customer understands that:
- Northwest will provide Pest Control services for a period of one year, unless stated otherwise in this agreement, consisting of regular visits in accordance with the specified pest plan provided. Northwest warranty constitutes providing additional treatments as deemed necessary by Northwest to correct pest infestations in-between services. Skipped services by the customer will result in a loss of warranty and initial service charges will apply in providing continued service.
- The customer agrees that Northwest is not responsible for any damages to the structure or contents related to insect, rodent, or other pest activities or corrective measures taken by Northwest to control specified pest(s) in this agreement. The customer specifically releases Northwest Exterminating from any liability for such claims.
- In the event no one is home during a regularly scheduled appointment, Northwest will provide an exterior service at the full service rate. If the regular scheduled service is performed and you desire an inside service, notify the office to schedule an appointment at no additional charge.
- This is a one-year agreement, automatically renewable on a service-by-service basis. Either party may cancel this agreement with a thirty day written notice. The customer will be held responsible for payment of services rendered prior to the cancellation date. Northwest reserves the right, after the first year, to increase the regular service fee.
- SMART equipment (including connects, eyes, boxes, catches, etc.) are the property of Northwest Exterminating and will be collected within 5 days of customer cancellation.
Termite Baiting Terms and Conditions
Due to the nature of construction, the extent of existing termite damage and the amount of termite activity, this agreement does not guarantee against, nor shall Northwest Exterminating Co., Inc. be responsible for, present or future damage to property or content, nor provide for repairs or compensation thereof.
- All components of the Sentricon® are and will remain property of Cortiva Agriscience. The customer has no rights to any of the components, other than the right to their use as installed by Northwest Exterminating on the customer's premises under this agreement. On expiration or termination of a Sentricon® agreement, Northwest and Cortiva Agriscience or its representatives are authorized by the customer to retrieve from the customer's premises the stations and or other components contained therein for appropriate disposition. Sentricon® early termination fee and any months of service provided are applied. The Sentricon® system is constantly evolving; Northwest reserves the right to update the system as needed at our discretion. These changes may or may not incur additional costs to the customer effective at the time of renewal. Customer will be notified of changes that are to be implemented to the system. All components of the Trelona® system will be owned by the customer once full price of install has been received. On expiration or termination of a Trelona® agreement, all stations and/or components will remain property of the customer and will only be removed upon the customer's request.
- The Sentricon® and Trelona® systems involve installation, monitoring for new termite activity, and colony elimination with termite bait.
- Intervals of a few weeks to several months should be expected between the in the Sentricon® and Trelona® stations and sufficient termite activity to allow termite bait to eliminate subterranean termite colonies.
- During the interval(s) between the installation of the Sentricon® or Trelona® stations and elimination of existing termite colonies, termite feeding within the structure could possibly involve additional structure damage. In the event that an AG station cannot be installed due to aesthetics or construction reasons we have additional services such as spot applications of conventional termiticides that are available. These additional services will combat termite activity on a localized, short-term basis if deemed appropriate by Northwest, but are not needed for and will not contribute to the termite colony elimination.
- The active ingredient in the Sentricon® and Trelona® systems are growth regulators, which prevent worker termites from molting (critical to colony survival). The active ingredient is contained in the baits that will be inserted into the stations.
- Northwest will replace the active ingredient (bait) when around 30% of the bait matrix has been depleted.
Post Construction Terms and Conditions
- It is agreed that Northwest Exterminating Co., Inc. is not responsible for the repair of damage to the structure or contents.
- Structural or mechanical defects which result in water leakage in interior areas, through the roof or exterior wall of the premises may hinder the effectiveness of the treatment, thereby permitting infestation to continue after the date of the initial treatment. If such a condition is discovered, it is agreed that the customer is responsible for making such repairs as necessary to correct the structural or mechanical defect and Northwest will, upon completion of said repairs, provide additional treatment deemed necessary by the company to control the infestation in the area.
- It is understood and agreed between both parties that this agreement, the attached graph and specifications upon issuance, the warranty constitutes the complete agreement between the parties and that said agreement may not be changed or altered in any matter, oral or otherwise, by any representative of Northwest unless the alteration or change be in writing and executed by a corporate officer of Northwest Exterminating Co., Inc.
- If moisture and/or structural conditions, which are conducive to subterranean termites, are subsequently found to exist, Northwest will be relieved of any and all liability related to damage repairs. Northwest is not responsible for any damage related to termite activity.
- The customer agrees to hold Northwest Exterminating harmless for any damages incidental to treatment for termites including, but not limited to torn or improperly laid carpeting, patching of termiticide application holes of any kind, damage to flooring, staining, drywall, roof tiles, irrigation, plumbing and anything specifically outlined in the comments section of the service agreement.
- This agreement is transferable to a subsequent owner of the premises with written notice sent to Northwest Exterminating Co., Inc.

- This agreement covers the structure(s) identified herein as of the date of the initial treatment. Prior to (1) the structure(s) being structurally modified, altered, or otherwise changed, or if (2) soil is removed, added or tampered with around the foundation, the customer will immediately notify Northwest Exterminating Co., Inc. in writing. Failure to notify Northwest Exterminating Co., Inc. in writing of the events listed above may void this agreement. Additional services because of any addition, alteration, or other such event may be provided by Northwest at the customer's expense, and may require an adjustment in the annual fee or additional charge.
Due to the nature of construction, the extent of existing termite damage and the amount of termite activity, this agreement does not guarantee against, nor shall Northwest Exterminating Co., Inc. be responsible for, present or future damage to property or contents, nor provide for repairs or compensation thereof.
